I first started talking on the radio in 1985 using 27 mhz CB radio, I worked the world with 10 watts and a 3/4 wave vertical. I achieved my novice licence (VK2PIV) on Christmas eve 1993, after upgrading my theory I got my limited licence (VK2KFM) and with a final CW exam I got my AOCP (unlimited).

My radios are

Icom IC-7600      Heil PR-781G microphone, hex beam covering 20,17, 15, 12, 10, 6 metre bands with an SPE 1K-FA amplifier.

Icom IC-7000       home brew 6 element 2m yagi with an LA-250, 200 watt amplifier,

                            15 element 70cm yagi.

Kenwood TM-251A   2m/70cm verticle, for local contacts  and FM repeters

Kenwood TS-870        not in use.
