About VK2IG

My current callsign was issued to me by the ACMA as a result of the Two Letter Callsign Ballot conducted by the WIA in September 2008. (Relinquishing my existing callsign at the time - VK2ENG - was a condition of accepting this new callsign.)

My previous callsigns: VK4VLE (1981-1982), VK4BMD (1982-1988), VK1BMD (1988), VK2ENG (1988-2008), VK7ENG (1992-1994), GØVEY (1994-1996), and VK1ENG (2000-2008).

I will answer all QSLs received, regardless of how they arrive.

If you want to QSL via paper card AND eQSL and/or LOTW then that's OK.

Buro: I receive cards via the VK2 Buro every few months, and send cards to the Buro when an economical mailing amount of cards is reached. Our Buro is staffed by volunteers who are very busy; and to help keep their workload to an essential minimum, I don't "buro bomb"; i.e. I don't automatically send Buro cards for all QSOs.

If you would like a Buro card sooner than the long round-trip time, then please email me with the details of our QSO so I know to send the card ASAP.

Direct: this is much faster than the Buro! Please include a self-addressed envelope (SAE), and return postage: valid IRC (preferred) or 'Green Stamps'. Cards arriving with insufficient return postage will be replied to via the Buro - postage costs from Australia to anywhere else are relatively high, and we have no service equivalent to 'surface', '2nd class' or 'surface airlifted' categories … it's all airmail!

eQSL: VK2IG (including VK2IG/QRP) & AX2IG.

LoTW: VK2IG, VK2IG/QRP or VK2IG/Q (some of the logs are yet to be uploaded), & AX2IG.

If you need confirmation via eQSL or LoTW and our QSO isn't listed there, then please email so I can upload our QSO as a priority.

Previous callsigns

I have some blank cards for VK2ENG, VK1ENG, and a very limited number for VK4BMD. Please email if you need cards for these calls over the time periods listed above.

Some VK2ENG QSOs are listed on eQSL, but no other previous callsign QSOs have been uploaded. No QSOs for previous calls have been uploaded to LoTW at this time.
