"AX" is a special event prefix that can be used by VK's on Australia Day (January 26), ANZAC Day (April 25) and ITU Day (May 17) each year.

I'm a big fan of digital modes and I have an SSTV webcam running on www.vk2qq.com Look for me on JT65 too.

New antenna under test is a TET TE-46 at 10m on a telescopic winch-up mast. The TE-46 is a 3 element tribander on 20/15/10 and a rotatable dipole on 30/17/12. Running Icom IC-7000 with Heil HM12 mic, or the US Interface "Navigator" on the digital modes.

Update:

Licenced as AD0EJ Extra Class at Dayton Hamvention 2013. While travelling in the USA I am operating mobile from a Coachman Catalina RV using Hamsticks for 75, 40, 20, 15 and 10 metres, with FT857D rig and Rascal interface.

On VHF/UHF I am using an FT8900 and a 1/4 wave vertical in the roof. Call me when I am touring the USA!

5 June 2013 - Vanity Call AK2QQ was posted on the FCC website. Now I have the set.
