G'day.

I have finally obtained my ticket in March 2007 after intending to get it for the last 30 years (since using the high school club station). I work in the computing/networking area and electronics has been a hobby since I was a teenager.

I have an interest in programming and digital processing (and building things using this technology) as well as homebrewing in general.

I also enjoy travelling around Australia with my wife and 2 boys (in our 4x4 camping at every opportunity) and amateur radio  has become part of this pastime using an IC-7000 and a FT-897D.

The current equipment is a TS-990S, IC-7100 and a TM-V71A. Also in use are several SDR receivers (SDR-IQ, Ettus B200, Nuand BladeRF amongst others).

The main antenna is a HexBeam (20M - 6M), along with two 80M OCF dipoles and a CP6 vertical.

And of course the workbench (somewhat busy at the moment!).

I also have the callsign vk3grs.

73 to all.

Gerard
