I was 1st licensed in 1961 as VK5ZBR and was very active on 6m & 2m in the 1960's early 1970's. Became active in the hobby again in 2000 with the callsign VK5ZMB and then changed this callsign to VK5UBC which I then updated to my latest callsign VK5BC.

I operate all bands from 160m to 23cm but my main interest is VHF/UHF where I'm very active on 6m & 2m. I enjoy chasing new DXCC's on all HF bands and working all digital modes.

My other interests include boating, fishing, 4WD around Australian outback and Travel.

I regularly upload to LOTW & EQSL & Club Log, I will reply to direct QSL's as received, cards received via bureau will only be answered if & when time permits.

Antennas as pictured below from top are:-

Diamond X200 vertical @ 18.5m

12 el 2m M2 yagi @ 18m

7 el M2 6m yagi @ 16m

3el SteppIR @ 14m

I often operate portable from my holiday home in Corny Point (PF85mc), Southern York Peninsula, South Australia. I log all these contacts into Club Log, Lotw & EQSL as VK5BC/P so if you want verification please ensure they are sent to VK5BC/P. Note - I found it difficult to use the /P in callsign using digital modes (FT8 & JT65) and often just use VK5BC from PF85mc and in these cases these contacts will be logged as VK5BC and entered to the various logs as VK5BC and verifiction will be to VK5BC.
