Hello from LEWISTON in South Australia.

Sat the "UNRESTRICTED" exam and got the callsign VK5PO in 1985, WHEN CW was part of the exam,  ( Not like these days, with those VANITY two letter call holders... TOO LAZY to LEARN and to sit CW exams, but  come along and scoop the pool, when the CW requirement was removed. They will ALWAYS be  "make believe" so called advanced operators!!!).... First licensed as a "NOVICE", VK5NJF for a few years prior to that! (1982)

I have been closely associated with HF radio for over 40 years now,School of the air and RFDS network  as a kid using CODAN HF equipment still vivid in my memory... an OLD TIMER at 55!!

Using CW,SSB, JT65,FT8 etc etc, an efficient SIX metre EME station is fun too!

I have antennae for these bands:

SEPT 2016: I have got my "dream" antenna up! full sized electrical length 1/4wave vertical resonant at 1.822Mhz,,,A homebrew 6 relay network attatched to matching coil, allowing 3 top band frequencies, 3.510Mhz,  3.6Mhz and 3.790Mhz.. Very impressed with the verticals' performance. Now 24 radials attached, enhancing the performance nicely on 160/80/75m!

VK5PO station license (and VK5SIX) has been endorsed with ONE KILOWATT RF output on 50Mhz and above.

No towers are used to "hold" up any of my HF antennae... After lots of work, they are strung up between gum trees here.

All WIRE antennae are made using 316 Stainless Steel "rope" they will last forever!:

THE SIX METRE EME ARRAY, with FULL ELEVATION capability, at 19m, to conform to the ACMA

1kW endorsement, EMR requirements.

160M 1/2wave Dipole. (40-50' up)

80m Full wavelength Horizontal LOOP (THE ANTS PANTS!!!)

80m OCF DIPOLE (Windom)

40m Full wavelength DELTA LOOP

30m Full wave DELTA LOOP

Elevated (4m) CAP-HAT (shortened) 75m Top loaded VERTICAL

160/80/75m  elevated vertical, elec. 1/4w on top band. remotely tunable on three bands.

My SIX metre EME station is 2 X 7 LFA (homebrew) Yagis at 20m, with AZ/EL

capability, along with a hombrew 1/4 w/l power divider.

11 element homebrew LFA yagi for 144.1 work

Simple 1/2w end fed (J-POLE) verticals for 2m and 70cm

1296Mhz colinear

This is a TOUCH Keyer I made for VK3EW... I made one for myself which is identical to this one... ONE FINGER CW... ohh what fun. NO MOVING PARTS!!!

____________

Work in Progress:

Yagi on 40m ( I think I will build a HB9CV!)

tribander yagi's (TH6DXX rebuild)

10,12,15,17,20m monoband delta loops for these bands

I currently offer my station as a HF WINMOR gateway. Send and receive EMAIL from your mobile station.....Please use only if mobile away from "normal" internet connections. Details by googling RMS WINMOR.
