Aloha from Hawaii! My QTH is roughly four miles north of Honolulu International Airport, just along the eastern shore of Pearl Harbor. I work at Hawaiian Airlines, a job I love because it allows me lots of travel opportunities.

I am heavily involved in DX & the IOTA (Islands on the Air) program and try to travel to an odd island at least once a year. Aside from my home QTH, I've also operated from the following locations with the callsigns below:

  • AH6HY/KL7 (Alaska)
  • 7J3AQB/4 (Tottori, Japan 1995-1998)
  • FO0FLA (Rurutu, Austral Islands)
  • AH6HY/AH8 (American Samoa)
  • K8T (Tutuila Island, American Samoa, IOTA OC-045)
  • K8O (Ofu Island, American Samoa, IOTA OC-077)
  • VP5/AH6HY (Grand Turk Island in 2003, Salt Cay in 2004, both count for IOTA NA-003)
  • AH6HY/W3 (Smith Island, MD, IOTA NA-140)
  • AH6HY/W4 (Tangier Island, VA, IOTA NA-083)
  • 5W0DF (Samoa)
  • VP2V/AH6HY (Tortola, BVI)
  • V4/AH6HY (St Kitts)
  • YI9PSE (Erbil, Iraq)
  • PJ5/AH6HY (Sint Eustatius IOTA NA-145 both before & after "independence")
  • ST0R (South Sudan)
  • 3D2C /3D2HF(Conway Reef)
  • PJ7/AH6HY (Sint Maarten)
  • T32RC (Eastern Kiribati)

T32RC QSLs go via N7RO.  YI9PSE QSLs go via N6NKT. ST0R QSLs go via EA5RM. 3D2C QSLs go via YT1AD. K8T QSLs go via GW0ANA. All of the rest of the above calls are OK direct or via bureau to AH6HY. Please supply return postage for any direct requests. If QSLing via the bureau, write "via AH6HY" prominently near the relevant callsign or else I will never receive it.

Clublog OQRS is also available to anyone wishing to QSL AH6HY direct or via bureau.

I encourage you to visit my personal website when you have free time; I have hundreds of QSL cards on display as well as many of my favorite photos from the various Hawaiian islands and other assorted odd spots from around the world.

Also, lots of my own videos from out-of-the-way locations like P5, 3D2C, KH4, EZ, PJ7, and so on can be found on youtube under a general search using my callsign:

See you in the pileups!
