QSL: QSL to ND0C

W0W was a special call sign used by the Worthington Christian School during the ARRL February, 2018, School Club Roundup (SCR).  We operated February 12-14, 2018 and made 119 QSOs in about 4 hours of operation.  We contacted stations in 34 states and 4 Canadian provinces, plus Costa Rica.  The contacts were made by our 5th through 8th grade students with ND0C as the control operator.  The students really enjoyed putting push pins in a map of North America to mark the location of each station contacted.

Our station was located in the school library and consisted of a Yaesu FT897D running 100 watts to an inverted vee with apex at 35 feet.  The antenna was fed by ladderline and an MFJ tuner and supported by a portable telescoping mast in front of the school.

We will send QSLs with SASEs to all stations to confirm the QSOs during the SCR.  (It may take a couple weeks as we are printing the cards ourselves and getting all the students to sign the ones for the contacts they made.  You may send QSLs to ND0C - no SASE is required.  We will also be uploading the QSOs to LoTW.

Thank you very much for contacting W0W.  Ham radio was a brand new experience for all but one of the kids and they had a blast.

Please note that W0W was used by the Worthington Christian School only from 12-15 Feb., 2018.  Any QSOs out of that date range with a station operating as W0W were not us and cannot be confirmed by ND0C.
