I became interested in Amateur Radio in the 1970s, but never became proficient enough at Morse Code to attempt to take the test.  More recently my interest was reignited and I received my Technician license in July 2014, and tested for and received both my General and Extra in February 2015.  I'm currently running a KX3 for HF, though living in a condo limits my antenna options; right now I have a CobraLite Kid snaked as well as I can, currently in a horizontal squre up in my loft. For VHF/UHF I have a Yaesu FTM-400D as my base station and a FT-7900R in my Jeep for Mobile.

I belong to MARA (Montachusett Amateur Radio Association W1GZ) and frequent their repeater at 145.45-/74.4.

In real life I am a network security software developer at Cisco Systems, Inc, and for fun I play trombone in the Soft Touch Big Band and the Waltham Symphony Orchestra.
