You will find me on all HF bands and modes but I prefer CW most of the time. I am an active DXer, contester, and CW rag chewer. At present I experiment with antennas on a small city lot.

Station: Elecraft K3, KPA500, Acom 2000A

Antennas: 160m Inverted L (17 short radials)- This is an experiment for winter 2005/6; 80m Inverted Vee at 60 ft; SteppIR 3 element yagi, plus 40m/30m rotary dipole.

QSL management for ZD7DP (1996-2003), ZD7SM (1996-2002)  No log information outside of those dates.  Best to QSL direct with current IRC or $2  to cover postage and addressed return envelope.

First licensed in 1955 as KN6KZY, ham radio stimulated my interest to pursue a career in electronics and become an electrical engineer. A BSEE from the University of Michigan (1965) and MSEE from Brooklyn Polytechnic (1970) led to a long tenure with General Electric Company. After a career in engineering and engineering management in defense electronics, medical equipment, and computer systems, I am now retired and able to spend more time with ham radio. Past callsigns issued in various geographic areas: K6KZY, K8MIC, W1DKU, 8P6JV, G0EOW and now W1ZT since 1977. I also enjoy sailing, woodworking, and electronic troubleshooting.
