I have been an Amateur Radio Operator since 1959 and enjoy all aspects of the hobby. I was previously licensed as WV2EYJ as a Novice and when I upgraded was assigned the call of WA2EYJ. I changed my call in the mid 80's to W2YJ. Currently I am hunting new Countries for the various ARRL and CQ awards. I am a member of the Western New York DX association, WNYDXA, and the Englewood Amateur Radio Association Englewood Florida EARS. I currently use a new Kenwood TS-990  and a MFJ ALS-1306 for the high power QSO's. Antennas include a SteppIR 3 element beam at 55 feet, a 260-foot flat-top dipole at 50 feet fed with open wire for the lower frequencies as well as a SteppIR Big IR vertical (80-6 meters) and an inverted L for 160 meters. I live in the town of Marilla, N.Y. but the U.S. mailing address is East Aurora, NY 14052. Marilla NY is located 20 miles SE of Buffalo, NY or 45 miles SE of the mighty Niagara Falls. I QSL 100% via direct, ARRL "Log Book of The World" (LOTW) which I prefer, and the QSL BURO. I try to work LOTW DX stations I need first as QSL'ing is getting expensive. I love to repair amateur rigs and play golf when the weather is right! Hope to meet you on the bands. I can also run my radio station remotely from anywhere in the world using the internet. The Kenwood TS-990S fits nicely in this roll with Kenwood's software.
