first licensed in May 1958 KN3EAV , Tecnician license in 1963, General 1965, Advanced 1968 Extra 1984 Sputnik era ham primarily weak signal VHF/UHF , Satellites, Moonbounce (analog on 432 and 1296, digital on 2M),Teaching ham radio classes,  homebrewing antennas, medium and high power amplifiers, low noise preamps. WSJT on 6m and 2M, Also enjoy sailing our 1981 Allied Princess Ketch "Mandolin" in the Tropics where I am now.   Some of my close friends that have contributed greatly to my  enjoyment of ham radio :   K3SWZ Glenn,   W4TJ  Bill,  KB3DT Dave , W3SOX Dave

Awards 6m  WAS WAC      117 initials on 432 EME,  90 initial on 1296    6 initial on 2m JT65   All EME with home brew antennas,  96 el colinear,  24 ft. Dish till an ice storm came out of the east....    16 ft dish,  (2) 10 el hb dk7zb Yagi 2m.

We bought a house in Waldport Oregon, will spend the summer and fall here then back to "Mandolin" in the USVI.   Got all my radio stuff that I had stored for the last 6yrs and have put together a ham station again!   no amplifier hooked up yet but all else ok.   It is nice to have a place ashore that we can come home to.
