Also worked for newspapers in Athens, Ga., Durango, Colo., and Columbus, Ga. Author of a book on fine arts for the layperson as well as numerous newspaper articles. Active on cw, ssb, rtty and psk on 160-6 meters with Yaesu FT-950 at 100 watts and FT-817nd at 2.5 watts. Antenna is an 80-meter horizontal loop (random wire for 160). Have worked "abroad" as W4JDS/VE2.
