Have been interested in Amateur Radio since 1955! I finally made up my mind to obtain my license and get on the air before I croak. I'm presently building my station and as I get it assembled, I will update with type of equipment in the shack and antenna system. I recieved my Technician license in November of 2008 (KJ4IBQ) I requested a vanity call of W4RBW, the FCC awarded me that call. Recieved my General ticket in November 2009. As of Saturday February 12, 2011 I have passed my EXTRA class Ticket!!! Presently have aTen-Tec Omni VII, which I love, Palstar tuner, GAP challenger DX Vertical and a Home brew Inverted Dipole antenna running 100 watts. Just recently got interested in D-STAR and now listen daily on Reflector 30C or Reflector001C this is a great way to communicate without all the atomsphereic noise. Have recently purchased another Ten-Tec trasciever (11-24-14) for field use ,it's a Eagle 599AT. I found that is has a very quiet reciever very nice unit. looking to use this in field applications. 73 Frank
