W4UCJ is the club call for the Thomasville Amateur Radio Club located in southwest Georgia. We were issued this as a club call back in the fifties along with the old MARS call A4UCJ. We are one of the oldest clubs in the area and we believe we're also the friendliest. We have an ever growing list of members from all over South Georgia and North Florida.
We have an active W5YI and a Laurel VE group of 25 dedicated hams who hold test sessions on the first Saturday of the month at the Thomas County EOC, located at 1202 Remington Avenue, at 3 pm. Contact Alan at email@example.com for current scheduling information.
We have a growing ARES group, which works with the Georgia Hospital Association to support an amateur station, WX4AMH, at Thomasville's Archbold Memorial Hospital. We are also actively working with Thomas County Fire Rescue as their back-up communications link.

147.06 MHz.- Thomasville FEMA (+offset no tone)
145.370 MHz.- Thomasville EOC (- offset, 141.3 Hz. tone)
147.240 MHz.- Boston (+offset, 141.3 Hz. tone)
147.195 MHz. - Metcalf (+offset, 141.3 Hz. tone) * This site is listed as the Worlds 2nd Tallest Tower.
442.600 MHz. - Thomasville EOC (+offset, 141.3 Hz. tone)
In 2010, we also began hosting one of the GA ARES D-Star repeaters, KJ4PYB,
which is a "full stack" 3 band system.
Module A - 1248.74 MHz.
Module B - 440.65 (+ offset)
Module C - 145.08 MHz. (+1.4 MHz. split)
BECAUSE OF LACK OF COOPERATION, FROM THE IT DEPARTMENT AND MANAGEMENT AT THE HOSITAL WE NO LONGER CAN SUPPORT THIS VENTURE.
The Control Ops for the Repeaters in Reno,Georgia have also made their machines available for club use. They are:

443.00 MHz. - W4DXX (+ offset, 100.0 Hz. tone)
We have weekly nets on Thursday night, the SW District ARES / EmCom Net at 7:30pm, on the 147.195 Repeater, and the Thursday Night Net (Club) at 8pm also on the 147.195 Repeater.
For 2015, we also added a new Grady County ARES / EmCom Net on Tuesday nights at 7:30 pm on the 145.17 Repeater. Check out our Net Control, Virgil, KJ4ZNK.
An HF Weather Net joins the group on the third Thursday of the month on 3.975 MHz. immediately following the GA-SSB Net at 7:30pm.
