The Johnson Space Center Amateur Radio Club at NASA's Johnson Space Center, located 25 miles southeast of Houston, Texas, has been active since the early sixties, supporting the NASA and Contractor ham community.

JSCARC has supported the Space Shuttle SAREX (Shuttle Amateur Radio Experiment) and continues to support International Space Station amateur radio operations (ARISS), with ground support, astronaut training, and license exam testing.

JSCARC members operate the club station, W5RRR, on the HF-thru-UHF bands with general rag-chew, contest, and DX QSOs. Members are also actively involved supporting public service events in and around the NASA-JSC/Clear Lake area.

JSCARC operates and maintains an open repeater (W5RRR-146.04/.64) . The repeater periodically airs the International Space Station Mission Audio.
