Started with amateur radio mainly to have alternate communication options when in the middle of nowhere. My interest has grown beyond what I expected. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I've been a tech geek for years. Ham radio filled the curiosity hole when the internet became a consumer world rather than a tech world. Corporate IT still pays the bills but I haven't built a computer or network for pleasure in years instead I've found enjoyment in playing with spools of wire and spinning the big knob.

In Transisition, going to travel in the RV for a spell. No telling what i'll end up with but I'll miss the KW TS-590!

Yaesu 857D and an ATAS120 antenna and TM-D700 with a Comet dual band.

Yaesu 857D, wire, Hamstick Dipoles, Miracle whip, TransWorld TW2010, or...?

Picture is in the Eastern Sierras one of my favorite places to play radio when not chasing trout.
