My radio hobby started over 60 years ago in Poland. First radio I built with PbS home made detector with "needdle", coils and headphones, plus piece of the wire on the roof as antenna. It started to work late night, when all family was in beds...I decided to wake them up to show my "success"...They didn't share my enthusiasm to listen "Radio Luxemburg" around 3:00AM...

From that point my life in Poland was always connected with new constructions. 50 years ago I got my licence as SP8BJI, then SP7BJI . Beside of work in electronic industry I always enjoyed building new ,better and better HF equipment ,test equipment ,antennas etc...

Marshall law implemented by communists in Poland stopped my activity , under oppressions - as "Solidarity" organizer - I escaped to Austria and from there I was sponsored to California-Bay Area (Silcon Valley), where I got employment and involvement with the highest electronic technology . After Czernobyl explosion - my wife and daugter got finally passports from communists and our life returned to normal in new , friendly Country, we are proud Citizens!

I got US FCC general licence with callsign KG6TED , later , with EXTRA - changed to W6EAW (Eugeniusz Adam Woloszczuk) These years were my best. Now I am retired and have plenty of time to continue my hobby. I got well equipped home electronic lab and radio-shack. Still continuing new designs ,constructions , writing technical articles .

My HF rig actually is FLEX 6500 , with extremal accuracy ref. frequency10 MHz, delivered from internal GPS unit .
Between FLEX and antenna, are two  THP HL-2,5 KFX solid state amplifiers. Antenna is 12 element log-periodic ACOM

THE UPDATE! (After 8 months of SSB  DX activity)

Today ,  I have 286 etities (280 confirmed mostly by direct QSL). But with present degradation of propagation - the target to achieve 300 entities will be very difficult. I increased height of my tubular tower from 42  to 50 feet but it doesn't help too much...  Now I must find solution to install good antenna for lower bands. It is not easy on small lot 6000sq, feet.
