My fifth grade teacher was Keith, "Mr. Miller," W6ANB, who inspired my love of things technical that has shaped my career path ever since. I'll spare you the whole history except to say that I mowed lawns for heathkits while in elementary school. WN6FQD in 1958, WA6FQD in 1962. After a long gap (familiar story?) I tested for Extra class and obtained the call W6GJB in 2008.

I operate an Electraft K3 on 80 through 6m, SSB, PSK31, JT-65, JT9, FT8, RTTY and CW. Also a fan of Olivia and will answer cq's when I see them on the waterfall. Other rigs are a KX1, K1, K2 and KX3 for QRP and portable.

I upload to LOTW weekly and appreciate those stations that are with the program.

Photos are from our entry in the 2017 7QP with K9YC, W6JTI and W6GJB operating as N7N.  We activated five Utah counties from three county lines.  Photos are of San Juan/Garfield on the Colorado River, Wayne/Piute where I kept the mast low due to threatening conditions, and Piute/Sevier where we got set up for 40/80 operations with the last of the daylight.  Thanks to everyone who worked us for a final score of 514,560 points.
