QSL Info:  Please, if we have confirmed QSL via LotW, do not request Buro card.  Working contests, I am getting too many QSL request via buro for QSO's already confirmed by LotW.  This is causing too much unnecessary work!  If this continues, I will be forced to discontinue Buro QSL'ing, and really do not want to do this and spoil it for those who really only have Buro as an option.

Pitch for LotW.  ARRL has made it easier than ever to sign up for LotW.  This is 2017 folks and time to get with modern technology!  If you are not signed up with LotW, please seriously consider it.  If you need help signing up and getting setup, I would be happy to help.  Just send me an email and we can get you started.

Doug, W7DRM - I am retired, had a 28 year career in military aviation (USAF) and later, software development. Currently living in Gig Harbor, Washington State, which is a quaint maritime town and sheltered harbor off of Puget Sound, 30 miles (48km) southwest of Seattle, Washington, USA.

I have been a licensed ham since 1964 at the age of 18. Formally WB6NQC and N6GBD in California. Moved to Washington State in 2000 and obtained the current call sign. I like to work DX on HF, SSB, digital (mostly JT-65), RTTY and CW.  I also enjoy contesting on SSB, RTTY and CW.

Currently running an Icom IC-7600 (IC-751 as backup) & ICOM PW-1 amp.  Update May 25, 2015 ->> upgraded to a SteppIR 3-element yagi on a 45' crankup/tiltup tubular tower, so far love it.  Also have a G5RV strung between two fir trees about 90' high, and a 30m dipole about 80' high.

As you can see from the photo, I rely heavily on computer software.  I am using the amazing (and free) Log4OM logging software with CAT (Rig) control.  Log4OM is simple to use but extremely feature rich, with outstanding support.  Find out more at - http://www.pisto.it/wordpress/category/log4om/

I also use WSJTX and JTAlert for WSJT-X for JT-65 and JT-9 digital formats, MMTTY for RTTY and N1MM Plus for contesting.  I use a SignaLink USB digital interface modified for FSK, and a WinKeyer USB for a CW interface.  All works well!

73 and good DX!
