Brad here, noob operator just trying to figure it all out.

A little about myself:  I work in Aviation at the Sioux Falls Regional Airport.  Graduate from the University of North Dakota (GO SIOUX!).  Tinkerer of autos, electronics, and now: radios.

I am not the original W7LZN, that belonged to my grandfather, Bob.  When I was in grade school, he attempted to teach me morse code.  It stuck a little bit, but not well enough to pass any test.  Now that it is not needed, I passed and have my General.

I currently live in an apartment setting, so space for both equipment and antenna is limited.  I currently have:

  • Elecraft KX3/PX3 setup
  • Icom ID51A Anniversary Edition
  • Shark RF OpenSpot with battery, wifi adapter and Verizon subscription
  • Grandpa's old gear: Collins 30L setup (for when I have more room)

Thanks for looking!
