My SWL set up prior to 1972

Photo shows my Hallicrafters SX-101A and my Sargent SW receiver

WN7SUA from 1972-1974 in Phoenix, Arizona, using SX-101A and DX-20 into a 40 meter quarter wave vertical on roof.

Novice Station with DX-20 and SX-101A

Novice station with Heathkit DX-20 and hallicrafters SX-101A

40 meter guyed quarter wave vertical on roof

Novice 40 meter vertical up on roof with Coke bottle as the insulator.

Relicensed after nearly 20 years absence from ham radio as N4ZPT from 1990 to 2013 while in Virginia.

W7SUA starting in 2013 when moving back to Arizona.  I am working on QSL cards and setting up LoTW. I sometimes operate portable from the family cabin in Navajo County ( DM44xe) or at various parks around the West.

My current W7SUA station. Quite different than my Novice station.

Photo shows my new operating position with my Elecraft K-Line.

My current antenna is an 80/40/20/10 fan dipole held up at the top of this 50 ft mast. Winter project is to get a two element yagi on each of 40, 30, and 20 meters up on a tower just installed on the ridge behind our house. About a 200 ft run of coax.

Photo shows 50 ft guyed fiberglass mast holding up center of 160 meter inverted V.

Operating portable at the Walnut Canyon National Monument using my KX2.

Photo shows me at a picnic table with my Elecraft KX2. Antenna is wire running into the tree above me.

I am also the sysadmin for the K7NAZ D-STAR repeater Williams AZ. Before that I  was the sysadmin for the NV4FM D-STAR repeater near Tysons Corner in Virginia.
