I am new to Ham Radio.  Got my Technician license in July, 2016, General in September and Amateur Extra in October, 2016.  Currently have a small base station using an ICOM 7100 with a LDG automatic tuner.  VHF / UHF antenna is a Comet 6 foot vertical hidden amongst the branches of a large Ocotillo plant.  HF operates through an OCF dipole that is 5 foot off the ground.  (I live in a HOA with lots of restrictions.)  The OCFD was custom made by a Club member and works very well on 80 through 6 meters.  Working HF, digital using fldigi and FSQ, VHF / UHF repeaters and Dstar.  Lots of fun for a newbie.
