This year, 2017 The Michigan State Police celebrate their 100th anniversary.

As part of the 100th Anniversary of MSP the Livingston County Amateur Radio Klub will also participated with a Special Event Call Sign W8P. Thanks to all of you who contacted us.

April 15-30, 2017 and send a SASE to my QRZ address or if from outside the US $2 and and SAE. Details on the W8P QRZ page for up to the minute updates. NO other form of QSL will be made. The bureau takes too long we may be out of cards by then. PLEASE NO BUREAU CARDS.

I am not affiliated with the Michigan State Police. It's an easy way to remember my callsign and makes for cool QSL cards. Because the Michigan State Police are cool! The Michigan State Police Department has always been a First Class Operation and is still a class act today. Next time you see a Police Officer why not thank him or her for doing the job they do? It's a job not many want to do these days and it's NOT easy to answer calls and put your life on the line every time. The world I was brought up in respected Police Officers.

If you're a Michigan State Trooper, Thank You! In fact if you're a Police Officer from anywhere in the world Thank You!

The 100th Anniversary photos below provided by Michigan State Police. The new QSL cards have arrived.

OMISS is a great bunch of hams helping each other work all states. It's a net dedicated to Worked All States (WAS). Lifetime membership is only $7 and is well worth it.

I use the following QSL methods

LoTW Preferred (If you aren't an LoTW user please sign up, it's FREE, it's available to hams worldwide. You only have to be a member to get an award. It keeps track of everything automatically. It's so easy! Why not sign up today? In fact if you're in the USA why not join the ARRL? It is the only lobby group for amateur radio and we all know how important it is to have someone with an ear to Washington. Plus you get a great magazine, and many benefits.

Real QSL Cards no return postage required. No SASE required either. You send one you receive one. Like the old days.

e-QSL I am verified authentic. Isn't that reassuring I am who I say I am. If you have a PC to do this why not do LoTW? It's FREE!

Last Resort: Bureau, slow but I do have some envelopes on file. Again why not LoTW? It's quick easy and costs nothing.
