I go by Rick, my QTH is in Peach County, Georgia, the heart of Georgia's agrigultural belt near the small city of Fort Valley.

I fell in love with radio at a very young age after listening to stories my father told me of the early days of radio when there were just a handful of stations worldwide. Dad built his own crystal sets, erected his own antennas and in the farmhouse listened to stations such as WSM, KDKA, WWVA, WJZ, WBZ and KYW. A few years later there was a tube set and stations could be heard from europe.

Since childhood ham radio has been a big part of my life. I first operated an AM station in the late 60's and early 70's with a Hallicrafters receiver and second hand home brew transmitter, then it was SSB with a Collins KWM-2A and in the late 70's with the invention of the home computer, the digial modes. I primarily operate CW, JT-65, JT-9, OLIVIA, PSK31 and good old fashioned RTTY along with the other digital modes and occasionally phone. Primary radios include an Icom IC-7700, IC-7200 and a Yeasu FT-817, other radios are a Micom 2R, AN/GRC-213, a Drake 4 line and some others. My antennas include a TH-11DXX on a 50' aluminum tower, a ground mounted GAP Challenger vertical and a G5RV hanging from the pecan trees that tunes up across the HF spectrum.

If you work more and more DX or whatever your pursuits are and still feel your life is empty, perhaps it's time you brought Jesus Christ into your life. Write me and I'll tell you how. '73 and God Bless you.
