I live among the corn fields in south east Iowa on a small acerage. Currently my only HF antenna is a inverted V for 75 meters. Our property is about 300' by 600' so new long wire antennas are being planned.

My current occupation is a 2-way radio technician for a Motorola dealer and we also install CCTV systems.

The picture shows my very small HF station consisting of a Kenwood TS-570SP. I did the blue LED modification to match my call sign plaque. Did I say my favorite color is blue?

I recently built my own D-Star repeater using two Motorola GM300 analog commercial mobile radios, a GMSK modem and some free software.

My other interests in no particular order are:

Motorola Mototrbo digital radios http://www.trbo.info/

Building VHF / UHF repeaters analog and digital (D-Star)

Computers and networks including WiFi

Arduino (just got a Uno)
