I'm experimenting with a 10 meter beacon on 28.2465 as per recommendation from IARU Region 2 HF Beacon Coordinator. Its set to run continuously.

The beacon is currently a QRP Labs Ultimate3S QRSS/WSPR transmitter that I built running in CW mode and is running 2 Watts with the matching PA kit. The antenna is temporarily a long wire (with a 4:1 BALUN) strung over the roof.

Please let me know if you here my beacon!

I'm active on HF on 20 and 40 meters. I try to check in on Intercon in the morning and the Maritime Mobile net on 14.300. Also ECARS 7255, ID 40023 and SCARS 7251, ID 11856.

I am currently running QRP with a FLEX1500 but I plan on getting an amplifier in the near future. Its a great rig for traveling because I always have a laptop and the FLEX fits nicely into my suitcase!

I also am active on DMR Gulf Coast Talk Group, 31011 and TAC310 and TAC311.
