Well hello so here is a little about me, I am a truck driver that runs a dedicated run from Virginia to Kansas City every week.

I took my technicians class exam around June of last year and then took my General Class exam in July of this year.

Most of make HF contacts will be made on the road either on 20 meters or 40 meters.

My mobile station setup

This is the antenna setup i run on my big truck and it does what i need it to do. It's a Browning Br-150 antenna on a tram NMO mirror mount that screws into the top of the door.

This is the antenna setup i run on the big tuck. Its a Browning Br-150 dual band antenna

This was the first mobile rig that i used with the antenna setup... (over look the Cobra 29 lol) the radio is a Leixen VV-898 that i bought brand new for $60.00 and well it does what i want it to do and I am every happy with it. It does 10 watts of power on high and about 4 watts on low. It also has really great audio to be as small is this radio is.

This is my mobile HF radio station setup, Its a Yaesu 757GX hooked up to a MFJ-941E manual antenna tuner.

The antennas I run are a 20 meter and 40 meter ham stick.

The following photos are of the mobile rig I have installed in my 2003 Dodge Ram pickup. It is a Radio Shack HTX-242

Skywarn Spotter

I decided to take the skywarn spotter certification and become a sever weather spotter. Growing up as a kid storms always where a fascination of mine and i figured what better way to learn more about them than to be come a skywarn spotter so I did it. I look at it as another notch in the belt of my Ham Radio OP learning.
