I got my novice licence in 1977 and my tech. in 1978. I made my first Heathkit oscollator shortly after and it is still working today.I lost my licence due to unforseen cercumstances and went back and took the test again in 2005, then grandfathered up to General. I now spend a lot of time working DX on the HF bands. My husband and I have an Icom 7000 in the car with a 2-440 dual band antenna,High Sierra screwdriver antenna, and a 20 meter hamstick.

In the shack we have a Kenwood 570S and an IC 200H two meter transever with a 2m J Pole,a 135 foot multiband dipole, a 40 meter Carolina Windom, and a homemade 2 element wire Moxom beam.

I now have an Icom706mk2g on the back support of my walker with a 20 meter hamstick(extended).Although I dx from the car and the base, the only ones I send this card that shows to are the ones that contact me when I am using the chair. I only use 30 watts and call qrp so you will know the differance between it and the base or car. Later I will be studying for my extra licence. My husband is W7XRX Ted.
