I've been around amatuer radio since 1976 when I was introduced by a friend in high school (Mark AI5G, formerly WD8EDJ). Finally got my Extra in November of 2011. A long time coming, but I got here. I mostly hang out on 20m, but will from time to time be on everything from 160m to 70cm. Presently I'm using a Yaesu FT-991A and a Kenwood TS-570D with a triband Yagi, a 2m Cushcraft beam, and a MFJ DiscCone up on a 48' tower. When I'm not listening, I like to do woodworking projects, play chess, and work on various electronics projects.

I QSL via LoTW, eQSL.net (aka eQSL.cc), Bureau and postal (loose postcard stamps appreciated).

My day job is as a self employeed computer programmer doing embedded, desktop and web based programming. I mainly work in C/C++ for embedded and desktop and PHP for the web.

Previous call sign: KD8RCK.

20 Meter 4 Element Yagi being assembled on top of my garage. The only place that there was enough room and not in the way of other traffic.

All of my antenas in the air.

The horizontial line above the garage is the 20m dipole, Funny, the SWR seemed a bit high when this was shot.

My current QSL card. The background image is the former Cereal City USA museum (now closed)
