I was first licensed in November, 2013 as KK4VAU. I used to work FM satellites with a handheld homemade yagi and a pair of Baofengs. But now, I mostly chase DX on HF.

I'm hoping to move my station to my parent's place where the trees are taller and the back yard is bigger.  To run remote, I wrote a keyer in python that will key the rig via the key jack using a Raspberry Pi 3 and an opto-coupler.  Check out the demo when I first got it working:

Station gear:
Vibroplex Vibrokeyer
Picokeyer +
Navy Flameproof straight key
Yaesu FT-857d
MFJ-993B autotuner
JSR Engineering 300A tuner
Rigblaster nomic
WSJT-X
fldigi
10 x 4-feet-long military surplus aluminum tubes mast
Inverted V doublet for 40 through 10 meters
Inverted L for 80 meters

Other gear, mostly unused:
Ukrainian military straight key (solid, very short lever)
TenTec Rebel 506 (When the solar cycle revolves, maybe I'll take it outside.)
Rockmite for 20 meters (~250 mW)
American Morse Dirt Cheap Paddles (Mounted on the Rebel 506. These are great little paddles.)
NEScaf audio filter (This is a very nice audio filter. I built it for use with a borrowed Yaesu FT-101EE, but I don't need it with the FT-857d.)

Many thanks to my Elmer, Mike, KJ4Z for patience, help, and advice.

73 and good DX!
Anthony, WW4N
