Holiday trip with a friend YD2JKW, Joko Widodo, who is today elected as the President of the Republic of Indonesia

My QSL Card

My 25M freestand tower, 7 elements 3 banders homebrew Yagi, solid dipole for 7Mc, folded dipole for 3.5Mc, and omni directional for 144 & 430Mc

My Kenwood TS-930S and TS-950S with Astatic Silver Eagle

My life with Amateur Radio began since I was 16 in 1967 when I build my first homebrew transmitter, and then I got my first license one year later by becoming member of PARI, the Indonesian Amateur Radio Union with call sign PK7PAM, while taking electronics in my extra class in high school years. From that point onward I was hooked on electronics, but graduated from University of Indonesia as a Psychologist. Even as profession I was two terms President of Indonesian Psychological Association HIMPSI, Founder/First President of South East Asia Union of Psychological Societies ARUPS, and member of People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR-RI), I still made my activities in the telecommunications field. I established a joint venture company with one Japanese company NEC and run a system integration and radio communications for twenty two years. And later went on to combining electronics, internet and psychology in a field of Cyber Psychology as the Founder/First President of Indonesian Cyber Psychology Associations APsiCI, up until today.

After the national organization Indonesian Amateur Radio Organization ORARI established in 1968, I have been licensed with call sign YD2EG (1968-1969), YC2EG (1969-1970), YC0EO (1970-1982)and currently hold an Extra Class license YB0EO for more then 32 years. I enjoy operating locally and DX -ing, with 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters being my favorite bands. My life long interest in electronics and communications keeps me to the state-of-the-art in technology, but I also enjoy restoring vintage tube radios, building and experimenting with home brew electronic gear and antenna systems.

My station is located in the southern part of Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia at an elevation of 32 m. (105 ft.) above the sea level. My 25 m. (82 ft.) free stand tower resulting a good DX-ing with America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. I really enjoy using my home brew 7 elements three bander Yagi, solid dipole and folded dipole antennas.

Most of all I like the fellowship of old friends that I've made over the years, and the making of new friends in this wonderful hobby and service that we call Ham Radio. I look forward to meet you on the bands, and I hope I can reach my 50 years anniversary as an amateur radio in 2017.

Terimakasih (means thank you) for looking me up - 73, and Good DX-ing.
