In 1980 I got my ham licence and my callsign was ZL1UKR. In 1986 I passed my CW test and became ZL1LK..

My QTH is 15km west of the city of Auckland.

I enjoy running QRP to see how far I can get. I work 160 to 6 meters.

I'm alway's listening for DX somewhere on the HF bands and usually I'm sitting somewhere in the pile-ups trying to be heard.

My HF antenna's are a 80-10 meter G5RV dipole which will tune up from 160 - 6 meters and a vertical for 10 meters only.

I have got married to Shu on the 5th November 2011, so now I have a loverly Chinese wife "Shu" and a beautiful daughter "Longfei"

Thank you for reading this and hope to catch you on the air.

Mt Tarawera last erupted at 2:30am on June 10th 1886 (also Shu's birthday but she's not quite as old) The eruption obliterated the Pink and White Terraces for ever. The Terraces were one of the natural wonders of the world.
