I moved to Marrowstone Island in June 2014 and have been gradually setting up a new station.

Excellent Wikipedia page about Marrowstone Island

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marrowstone,_Washington

The picture above is me in 1969 as a Novice. I still have a NC57B and DX40 on the air.

I am active on all bands and modes, even ready for the 630m band. I have been monitoring and reporting using WSPR.

I have been very active with the 200 member Fox Fiver Radio League in Illinois for the last 15 years and am equally active here in the Pacific Northwest with smaller more rural clubs. I have joined the Port Ludlow ARC and am the President of the 60 member Jefferson County ARC for 2016 and 2017. I am also the Jefferson County ARES EC.

We have started the 6 member Marrowstone Island Amateur Radio Club in conjunction with our UHF island-wide repeater. We have a vanity club callsign of AA7MI and information on our repeater site is on QRZ.com.

I have a Cushcraft R9 vertical and a 160-80-40-30m inverted vee up 60 feet as well as a Hexbeam on a 16 foot mast. I have a 180 foot dipole fed with ladderline and a balanced tuner at 90 feet.

I also have a 5 element 6m yagi up 12 feet with 900 watts and a 2m 5 element cross yagi up 16 feet.

I have an openSpot access point for DMR, Fusion, and D-Star that I use with an MD380 portable.

I operate with a Flexradio 6700 as the primary HF rig with the Italian 1KFA amplifier.

My Icom 756pro is now a standby HF radio.

I also have a TS2000 which is used as a another backup HF rig and 60m but primarily VHF/UHF and Satellite work.

I have a PiRLP node operating as IRLP 4251 and Echolink 227301 (AH6EZ-L) that is connected to the Marrowstone Island Amateur Radio Club UHF repeater, AA7MI. I am the first President.

Here is the view (telephoto) of Mt. Baker from our porch on my QSL card.

This is me on the Road America race track in Wisconsin on our 1968 Honda CB175.
