I really enjoy drag racing and have been a member of the National Hot Rod Association—NHRA—since 2007. I own a 2011 Chevy Camaro, black of course, with only 10,000 miles on it with a stainless steel Borla exhaust system that takes this six-cylinder engine to roughly 345 Horsepower . If I had an automatic transmission instead of the six-speed manual transmission that's in it now, I could get from 0—60 mph a little quicker than the 5 seconds I'm getting now.

Did you know that the Top Fuel cars are churning out 11,000 horsepower in a 500 cubic inch V8 engine, which is a common V8 engine size? They don't race a full quarter mile anymore due to equipment failures that resulted in deadly explosions and dead drivers. They knocked-off 320 feet of the 1320 foot 1/4 mile and now race to only 1000 feet and are topping out at a new speed record of 335mph! This is roughly reaching 335 mph in 2 city blocks. At 60' the Top Fuel dragsters and funny cars are going 285+ miles per hour. If the equipment could hold together they would be going around 345+ mph in a 1/4 mile. When people tell me about NASCAR racing, I kindly tell them that I like to watch the cars that actually go fast. It takes the power of two NASCAR engines just to run the air-intake blower on top fuel cars. No offense to NASCAR enthusiasts!

After roughly 3 1/2 decades of trying to run away from the ugliness of war I applied to the VA for disability on the recommendation of a 100% disabled veteran I know from the same war period and was moved to 100% after around one year. I served in the US Navy in Vietnam and reminisce on friends and times from Team 13 and wonder how many friends are alive today.

I have a service dog named "Rocky" provided by Patriot Assistance Dogs based in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. God has blessed me and everyone involved in the program. Rocky is around 4+ years old and has eighteen months of specialized training for military combat service personnel and is provided at no charge to veterans meeting VA disability requirements. These people are wonderful.

I have been a licensed amateur radio operator since 1994, back when you had to wait an excruciating period of time for your callsign. I love two-way radios and really miss hearing and participating in the technical side of RF, a nearly dead practice in ham radio. I own two new repeaters and one is located at Black Horse between Great Falls and Havre Montana and am looking for a second location to link with.

I have been granted the 146.800mhz with a 100.0hz tone and am waiting for internet service at the repeater site and will have Wires X and Echolink soon and will hopefully get help setting up my IRLP node as well. *4/26/2017*

I try to live my life by the principals listed below. May God bless those who hear and receive:
