Hello,

I'm James Branum, KG5JST.

You can find out more about me on my website www.jmb.mx.

I mostly operate on HF with a QRP Yaesu FT-817, most often as bicycle portable with 5watts, lately having luck on 6, 10 and 20 meters. I also use my 5 watt Baofeng UV-5RA HT and my 8 watt Baofeng BF-F8HP for VHF/UHF. And sometimes I operate HF via internet-based remotes, most often as KP4/KG5JST (in Palmas, Arroyo, Puerto Rico) and as KG5JST/W2 (courtesy of the Methow Valley Amateur Radio Club in Washington).

I'm also an avid Shortwave radio listener and broadcast programs on Shortwave via purchased air time from WRMI (Okeechobee, Florida, USA), WBCQ (Monticello, Maine, USA), WINB (Red Lion, PA, USA), Channel 292 (Rohrbach, Bavaria, Germany) and Unique Radio 3210 (Halls Creeks/Tamsworth, NSW, Australia), as well as on local day-time AM/medium wave station KTLR 890 AM in Oklahoma City. For more information on my broadcast projects, please visit www.broadspectrumradio.com or www.mennoniteradio.org

I love exchanging QSL cards. Please send QSL reports to me at:

(Please note that my home QTH is in the Deer Creek area of far Northwest OKC (locator EM15ep), but my mailing address I use for QSL's, etc, is my work address.)
