KL7AR was 1st licensed in 1954 as KN6MHO. I kept the K6MHO callsign until 1999, one year after I and my wife Deborah KL7JS moved to Alaska, I then applied for and received the new call sign, KL7AR. I retired as an Airline Pilot in July of 2003. I flew for Flying Tigers and Federal Express for 40 years retiring with some 39K hours in the air,16000 landings, and 4 million miles off this earth. In 2002 my wife and I moved into our new home here in the Anchorage area. Since we built the home from the ground up I had a wonderful chance to incorpoate a dedicated ham shack and install a large tower and many antennas. The station here is: Ten-Tec Orion, Kenwood TS-2000, QRO Amplifier, Henry 2K amplifier, Force 12 4BA, Force 12 620/340, 6 elements on 20 and 3 elements on 40. I have antennas and equipment to operate any thing from satellite's to 160 Meters 73's and good DXing Mike Sweeley-KL7AR
