I was first licensed in 1969 as WN0BJJ, my first equipment was a National NC-300 rx and my tx was a Knight kit T-60. I lost interest and let my novice ticket expire. I got back into radio in 2001, and have been having lots of fun.

I do 99% CW using primarily straight keys; my favorite keys are cootie keys, I have several, my favorite is made by Begali, a sculpture swing and I have to tell you if they have cootie keys in heaven that is the key I will be using :). I also have one made by GHD, and 2 from LTA, and one from Viz Key they all work great. I have a few bug's as well, my favorite is a Begali Intrepid which is a pleasure to operate and many straight keys, each one has it's own special feel. I also use my AA0ZZ EZ keyer III which has an "ebug" mode as well as being a great keyer.

I enjoy low power operating, and it's a good thing cuz I am living in an apartment right now, and I am antenna challenged, my main antenna is an indoor loop 66 feet long made out of twin lead 300 ohm shorted at each end and stapled to the wall where it joins the ceiling of my apartment, so if I have worked you since July of 2011, it was with a very modest antenna. Right now on my desk is my Elecraft K3, Ten Tec Omni VI+, Ten Tec Argo 6, an AC-1 junior, an IC-703, and PIG RIG SN#168 rock bound at 7.122..

I do alot of work away from home, and often try to operate from the campground or motel room, with only rare success, but I will keep trying. The picture at the top of the page is my current portable op's equipment, a 21 ft vertical made by Loops N More, tuned with an SGC-211 tuner at the base of the antenna. The current portable rig is a YouKits HB-1B, which makes about 3.5 watts with its internal battery.

If you have interest in qrp operation, you might check out a great group, Four State QRP group, at http://www.4sqrp.com/

Thanks to those who are willling to dig out my tiny signal, I appreciate it very much.
