The Jupiter Lighthouse Radio Group and Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Museum welcome you to Station-J! The US Navy established a Wireless Telegraph Station here in 1890, a Radio Compass Station in 1929 and then operated as a Naval Traffic and Direction Finder, operating under the identifier, NAQ, from 1939 to 1945.

We host numerous on-air events throughout the year including the Florida QSO Party, activation of USIsland FL479S at the underground Kennedy Bunker, Scouting's Jamboree on the Air, the International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend, and multiple civic functions such as parades, endurance runs, trail events, etc.

USIsland - FL479S - Peanut Island
Each year, JLRG and members from other local clubs will activate Peanut Island (USIsland FL479S) for Memorial Day weekend. This is an annual event which coincides with President John F Kennedy's birthday. We operate from underground inside the bunker that was built for JFK during the cuban missile crisis. This event always turns out to be fun and a little challenging due to logistics. For more information, please visit: http://peanutisland.jlrg.org
