First licensed in 1970-1975 as WB0CIS, Technician class at age 13.  My Dad and I worked mostly 6M SSB and 2M FM and built our 6m SSB equipment. I still have the twin 6146B amplifier.  I forgot about it and let it lapse when I discovered cars and girls. laugh

Got a Novice class again in 1981, KA5MVG.  Upgraded to Technician Plus in 1991, KB5PCN.  Upgraded to Advanced with 13wpm code in 1997, KK7BK.  Upgraded to Extra in 2001, N7VD

Station currently consists of the following:

FTdx-5000MP, LP-Pan2 IF SDR

OM Power 2000A+, 160-6M, 1.5KW

Cushcraft R6000 Vertical @ 25ft  20-6M.  Sorry about the sideways images, QRZ won't let me rotate them.

Buckmaster 160M OCF Dipole @ 35ft 160-6M North/South

Buckmaster 80M OCF Dipole @ 35ft 80-6M East/West

Diamond V-2000 6M-440 Vertical @ 20ft

Backup station and VHF, UHF

FT-767GX with all three modules - 6M, 2M, and 432

TE Systems 0510G amp for 6M, 170W

RF Concepts 2-315 amp for 2M, 150W

RF Concepts 4-110 amp for 432, 100W

We love to go camping at the Mogollon Rim in Arizona.

My Wife and I with Harper, our Yorkie.

I set up a 40M coaxial dipole between the pines and hook it to my FT-100 mobile in my truck.  Also run the ATAS-120 mobile vertical for other bands.

Lastly, my other hobby is Classic American muscle cars.  Here's a shot from the 2016 Hot Rod Drag Weekend where I finished in 3rd place in the Super Street Big Block Naturally Aspirated class. Car is a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback.  Engine displaces 540 cubic inches or 8.8 liters.  Fully street legal, with no creature comforts and manual 4-speed transmission, manual steering and brakes, it's a beast to drive.  It will do 10.60s @ 130 mph in the 1/4 mile.  What about gas mileage you say?  Don't care, but I get at least 40 sMiles per gallon.  laugh

Thanks for stopping by!
