Update: 3A/PA3FYM surprise operation from Monaco on March 20st 2017, 20.28 - 23.14 UTC
(after which the police for the 2nd time insisted I had to leave because
'Monaco is not a campsite' . . . however, it's MorseRunner in practice :-)

Conditions: motorhome partially parked on sidewalk, barefoot (60W), car battery powered
FT-857 (+ 300 Hz CW filter) + 40m vert. polarized deltaloop (apex 13m).

Check here if you are in the log (Cabrillo format).

Please do NOT send direct QSLs to me (with money and SASE etc).

I am very happy that Alex PA1AW is willing to deal with QSL matters
concerning this short (but intense!) operation, so please contact him.

I am licensed as of 1987.

Main interests are (contesting on) VHF and higher bands, although since a few years 160m is a challenge.

For 160m activities look at the CQWW CW 160m Netherlands all time record movie or http://remco.org/160m.

Trying to reach the limits with home brewed equipment and antennas is my drive.

In 1994 I obtained DXCC #187 on 50 MHz with my own designed super simple transverter (and amplifier!)
at a time barely 100+ countries were active on 50MHz worldwide.

During holidays I like to make DX contacts on HF, especially on 40m, with a deltaloop + Beverage(s).

In the 90's I was active as C31LFT (Andorra), UA0S/PA3FYM (Irkutsk), PJ9/PA3FYM (Bonaire),
and in 2005 and 2007 as 5R8NL (Madagascar).

QSLing is not my best competence. For 5R8NL, PA7FM is my QSL-manager.

During May/June 2014 I was active as 7QNL and 7QØNL (CQWPX CW) from Thondwe (near Zomba) Malawi.
QSL manager for this operation is PA1AW. More details: www.malawihf.org
An impression of my 7QNL/7Q0NL activities you find here. (<- nice movie :-)

As of May 2012 I am active on 70 MHz with a moderate station (~10W output and 1/2-wave vertical) to join the 70 MHz Es crowd in and outside Europe.
My grid square results with this simple setup: http://remco.org/grid

Since a while I run an experimental 30m grabber. Last screenshot below.

73, Remco
