Thank you for Looking me up on QRZ.com

I am a strong believer of the QSL process and going back to my childhood of the excitement of receiving a letter in the mail this is the method that I have adopted to confirm my QSO's. Please QSL with me and I will always QSL in return.

Send your card with a self addressed envelope and I will post a return QSL card to you within a day or two at my cost after all you paid to send it to me. If you do not have a QSL card a post card of your home town is fine.

Here is a brief run down on me and my station.

First Licensed in 1985 as a Limited call. ( VK3XOK ), look it up for more details.Changed to a two letter call sign in August 2014  ( VK3OB ).

I operate on most HF Bands, 2 mtrs & 70 cm FM, P25 and IRLP.

Owner and operator of IRLP Nodes 6097 and 6353. ( many thanks to Jim KR6WP for his help in this area )

Currently exploring the HF bands for meaningful contacts.

Rod VK3OB ( QF21CW )

I live in a town called Bannockburn, it is a small country town approximatly 75 km to the south west of Melbourne in the state of Victoria.

Bannockburn has a population of about 5000 people and is considered to be a small country town.
Below is a few photos of my QTH and my interests in amature radio and the evolution of my radio shack.

My QTH in Bannockburn, Victoria. Photo taken in about spring 2016.

It gets hot in Bannockburn, not uncommon to reach 40+ degrees in summer.

Work on the tower to get ready for some HF fun.

One of my IRLP Nodes ( 6097) being rebuilt as a Pirlp Node.

This is my main node for my QTH. I can be contacted on this most of the time.

I hope in time to fit this node into a Uilab repeater, one of the many project that are on the list of to do.

The long awaited new repeater for my home IRLP node 6097. This repeater will be for the dedicated use of my home IRLP node.

Testing and set up ready for interfacing to the node.

The new 24 mtr tower being bolted down to it's foundation, with a little help from fellow hams.

Adding antennas to the tower. this is my main 20Mtr, 15 Mtr and 10 Mtr beam, it works well.

Above, my 2 Mtr beam.

Feeders all in place and antennas on top.

CQ World.

Some of my DX Achievements.
