My main interest in Ham Radio has been on 6 meters I have worked most of Europe Great Britian and a great deal of Asia and the Pacific on 6M.

My first call was VK6ZFQ back in 1969 and I finally got around to doing the morse code in 1980 and was able to get the call VK6AKT (Always Ken Thompson).

Equipment these days:

FT2000 + SP2000 + DMU2000 + Quadra VL-1000 Linear Amplifier

Icom IC7300   IC7610

IC706 Mk2 G in the car with a Codan 9350 Autotune Screwdriver.

Antennas are a 3 Element Steppir and an OCF 80m Dipole up 40 feet and a 4 element yagi for 6M mounted on a Seesaw Lightpole.

I was the Chief Engineer of a Radio Network here in Western Australia. I retired (July 2011).

Please Note:         I do not send QSL Cards via the Bureau as I am no longer a member .

The cost to send a card from Australia is now $ 2.75 so unless you send Return postage costs I will not reply.!!!

I am more than Happy to work you, however I do not require any QSL cards thank you.

If you want verification for an award I do use EQSL & QRZ logbook.

This is the gear that i will be using to talk to you

3 element Steppir 4 element 6m and 2m vertical

The pole flipped over for service on antennas the tower is very easy to flip by hand as it is counterweighted.

Work ladder in place .
