Note: I may be transmitting from Sedona, or "portable" from my Phoenix home, or via the Internet through the Phoenix Remote station ...

A broadcaster since 1967, in more recent years at Los Angeles (KNX) and at Phoenix. The photo above (right) was taken while visting Hoover Dam in 2015. Mostly I'm retired now, but still keep an office in Phoenix at KIDR 740.

Equipment at Sedona, includes an Icom IC-765, ALS-600 amplifier, Icom IC-761 and a Collins 30L1 Amp.

In Phoenix my gear includes an FT-920 with an SB220, and a TS-990s paired with a Drake L-4B amp. For antennas I use an inverted-L end-fed wire about 40 meters in length. On receive I often use a Wellbrooke active magnetic loop - an excellent antenna to reduce local noise - or I listen via the much quieter Sedona WebSDR receiver when needed. I run 6 meters in Phoenix and in the mobile #2.

Mobile unit#1 is a TS-480 and a ham stick at 100 watts, plus a Yaesu FT-7800 for 2m/440.

Mobile#2 is an FT-857d with an ATAS 120 for HF, plus 2m/440.

I use another TS-480 for Internet remote operation.
