Caister Marconi radio station

(Caister Lifeboat Staion)

makes more than 200 contacts worldwide

Over 20 NARC members at the Caister Lifeboat Visitor Centre

managed to contact 215 other radio amateurs in 36 different countries

when they took part in the annual International Marconi Day

to mark the inventor's birthday on Saturday 23rd April.2016

Using the call GB0CMS and a mixture of Morse code, telephony (speech)

and data (PSK31 - thanks Nev.),

contacts were made with other radio amateurs

across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Canada and the USA.

Notable contacts were with other

special Marconi stations in the UK, Italy, USA and Austria.

Hi ...Thank you for visiting my page , it will give details of my Shack as I have only recently established it with the help of freinds and established Amateur's freinds. I am 66 years old and suffered from a accident which gave me a leg disability and I am retired.

I have plenty of time on my hands and have recently December 2012 passed my Foundation licence of which i have had for 7 Months and now passed my intermediate on 6th july 2013 and had to have a new call sign Formerly

M6TWQ  and now 2E0TWQ

I have a history as a young man in my 20s of working the 11 metres on CB with various antennas , vertical and on the flat side beams and working many stations on the DX side of LSB , USB all over the world.

So now I have the time I have rekindled my interest and am enjoying my new hobby yet again. HI HI

I live on the 2nd eastly point in the U.K ...Gt Yarmouth , Norfolk . It was a very industrious place at one time starting with herring drifters and then as the years progressed a holiday resort , and one of the first major North Sea oil Ports and sites in the U.K

 

 

 

I have a few interesting hobbies

these include Watercolour painting.

and of course the Radio, I am a member of the

( NARC ) Norfolk Amateur Radio Club ,

and 

(G.Y.R.C) Great Yarmouth Radio Club

also the R.S.G.B.

I live in a Town 3 storey basement flat and am restricted to the garden space hence my Antennas are kept to a minium for my neighbours although they have been very helpful in signing a pettion to the local council in giving me planning permission of which they have now granted. Mobile and QTH
