Glad you stopped by. I have been licensed since 1974. I am retired from truck driving, mainly city delivery with Yellow Freight. Lived in Vancouver, WA from 1984 to 2006 . Born and raised in Baxter Springs, Ks. My main interest is CW and Digital (PSK-31). My clubs are: ARRL TP #901, 10x #76117 ;PODX 070 #1434 ; 4SQRP #421; SKCC #5241S ; FISTS #14304 ; NAQCC #3982; FP #2358; 30MDG #2539 and EPC #8619. I am a member and current president of the the Big Sandy Amateur Radio Club. My station consists of; Yaesu FT-897d with AT-897 Plus tuner. I built a "cootie Key"out of junk box parts and used a 6" machinist rule for blade. Learned how to operated cootie key during my SKCC "S" quest.  Antenna's are an 80m inv. vee @ 55ft and a 40m Delta Loop for 40 thru 10m. Also a FTM-350 for local repeaters and APRS. A Tytera MD-380 and CS-800 DMR for use on the Colorado DMR system. Check out Rocky Mountain Ham (RMHAM) for details. Right hand picture is same station put in a go box.

Above right hand corner picture is of the ARES go box for East-Central Colorado. I am EC for Region3-District1. The Gator case contains the following equipment: IC-7000 with an external monitor, Motorola 5550xpr for DMR, MFJ-4230 PS, Diawa Meter, and Signalink USB. This is run into a Tar-heel antenna that is mounted on a base with 9 radials when portable. Can be deployed and set up and running in 15 min. I also have a bank of 6 CS-700 DMR hand helds. I operate this station a couple times a month.

My QSL info is: LoTW (Preferred); E-QSL (AG); Direct . Due to the high cost of postage; I DO NOT require a SASE. My policy is you send me a card and I will return one. Why put the cost all on one person. I do this to even out the cost for everyone.

About my call. I could not believe it when this call became available. My oldest son's intials are MCG (MC) he was in the Marine Corp (MC) he was injured in Kuwait during Desert Storm in 1991. He was killed 2 weeks before Thanksgiving in 1991 (not in action). My wife's dad's name is Merlin Coats (MC) and he was career Navy. So MC+MC+MC = K0MC to Honor these two that GAVE  THEIR LIVES for their COUNTRY. All that serve are to be thanked for their sacrifice

THANK YOU ALL who serve and have served.

This Bio always under contruction......
