I was First licensed as a Novice in December 1957 as KN2OES in Penn Yan, NY. After holding the Technician, General, and Advanced Class licenses, I finally cracked the 20 wpm barrier and upgraded to Extra in 1970. I have been active in all modes from CW to AMTOR, PSK31, DStar, DMR and I was a Navy MARS station, NNN0ZFL, during the Persian Gulf Crisis.

We have built a new home in Webster, NY. There are HOA considerations, so the G5RV disappeared.

I have just started using DStar.  I have a DV3K Dongle connected to my MacBook Pro but I am usually on DStar using an Icom ID-51A PLUS connecting with a DVmega board on a Raspberry Pi 3B with MMDVMHost software.  My CCS7 and DMR id number is 1136364.  The Hotspot is always on, either at home or if we go on longer road trips I run it using my iPhone as a Hotspot.

Added DMR radio today.  TYT MD-390.  Same hotspot as with DStar - auto-sense mode.

I am retired and currently live in Webster, NY. I can sometimes be found on 20 Meters - SSB/CW and occasionally PSK31, with a 20 meter dipole in my attic.  I am currently experimenting with anything I can configure as an inside antenna.

My most common frequency is 20 Meters around 14.060 Mhz since acquiring an Elecraft K1 QRP radio. Amazing what can be done with 7 watts.

I operate 2 meters FM and 440 FM with a Kenwood TM-V71A.

My HF radio is a TS-440SAT Kenwood transceiver recently gone over by Clif of AVvid in Texas. Marvelous work and inexpensive. Radio is like new.

I have an interest in antique radio equipment, and I have owned most of the good stuff from the 50's: NC-300, Collins 75A1 and 75A4, SX-101 Mk III, Collins 32S1 and 75S1, etc. My favorites include a very special National SW-3 receiver, and the Collins 75A1 receiver was a gem.

I hope to QSO you soon.
