I spent most of my life working with computers.  I started working for Sperry Univac in 1972 as an operator.  We operated giant computers that would fill a room, but had only a fraction of the power of the current cell phones.  About a year after starting at Univac, I was promoted to Programmer, writing Assembler, COBOL, and some FORTRAN.  Later on in life I worked for LaserMaster (manufacturer of laser printers for Windows & Mac, & Wide Format Color Printers).  I spent most of my time there as VP of Technical Services, but also worked in other technical areas of the company.

After almost 9 years with LaserMaster, our CEO purchased a huge tract of land in Montana, and to make a long story short -- I moved to Montana to help with the startup of a new company where we manufactured High Performance Snowmobiles made for the mountains.  My "office" was typically at about 7,000 to 10,000 feet somewhere in the Crazy Woman Mountains. The six years that I spent in Montana was incredible.  I do miss the people and the beauty of the mountains. And I miss the love of my life, Diana, the most.

Now semi-retired, I still work on and fix computers for friends, write and develop websites, and sell on Ebay/Amazon/& Websites to supplement my income.  Now that I am what I call semi-retired, I have time to learn. And I sure do wish I had my ticket 50 years ago.
