My main radio for HF Operation in now an Icom IC-756 Pro Transceiver with Heil Headset Microphone

My Backup radio for HF operation in an Icom IC-703

Current Antennas are a 5 band Cobweb antenna which I am using with the 703 and a 53ft long wire fed into an Icom AH-4 Autotuner. I use an SX-300 Dual band colinear for V/UHF. My prefered software for logging is Ham Radio Deluxe.

I have recently thrown myself into the world of DMR, Using a DV4 Mini dongle and Tytera MD-380 Handy. This is another amazing facet of a wonderful hobby. Although not 100% radio is has once again sparked my interest. I also have a a Hytera MD-785 for home use.

I am now (August 2017) qrv on D-Star and Fusion, running both a home and mobile setup using DV-Mega Bluestack in the car and Pi-Star with Dual Band DV-Mega on Arduino at home.

My D-Star radio is an Icom ID-51e hand held transceiver.

I have also recently joined the Elstree Amateur Radio Society, formed by my old friend Chris Taylor G0WTZ
