Hello and thanks for popping by.

Thanks for looking me up, very active on 40m in the day and 80m during the evening and can often be found lurking.

Thanks to  Tamworth and District Radio Amateur Society who dragged me through the foundation exam.

and also Leicester Radio Society http://www.g3lrs.co.uk/ who have assisted getting me through my intermediate.

and also BADARS who got me through the Advanced (Thanks Steve and the gang).

 - so now I'm M0XAL

New radio - IC7300 connected to the BM-800 via a mixer. Great results so far with this new radio.

The 7100 is now used for 2/70/Digital

I sometimes I use the backup / mobile Icom 706Mk2G.

I have a white stick for VHF and UHF connected to an old Kenwood dual bander.

Main antenna is a 135ft OCFD (no it's not a windom) fed via coax into a 4:1 current balun at the feedpoint up about 45ft high sloping North down to about 20ft.

I enjoy 40m mobile working and also have access to VHF/UHF bands in the car with the help of a Baofeng hand held which plugs into the whip on the boot.  I also use the handheld when walking the DOG.

The shack...My Man cave.!

Is now Red cedar like the shed next to it.

Another passion - www.tanddcmcc.co.uk

Made me laugh this one.!
